Strand R120 wired remote pin-out

For anyone trying to resurrect a dying Strand R120 wired remote with wiring issues.

You can download the manual here: http://www.dimmer.com/R120.pdf

but it will only tell you the pinout on one end of the cable, the terminations into your male 6-pin XLR. If your remote is like mine was, your screen has gone dead because one of your wires has wiggled its way out on the female side of the cable.
After a few phone calls to Strand tech support, they put me in touch with someone who could give me the pinout on the female/remote side of the cable:

With the remote keypad facing the floor, looking at the top of the remote, if you have removed the cable, you should see 16-pins on the left side of the remote, in two rows of 8.
The top row will be the row of pins closest to the back panel of the remote when you're holding it this way, and the bottom row will be closer to the keypad.

Here is the pinout:

Top Row
Pins 1-7 : not used
Pin 8 : +10V power input - wires to XLR male pin 2

Bottom Row
Pin 1 : not used
Pin 2: Ground & screen - wires to XLR male pin 1
pins 3-5 : not used
Pin 6: RX (data to base/handheld) - wires to XLR male pin 5
Pin 7: TX (data to base/handheld) - wires to XLR male pin 6
Pin 8: not used

I hope this saved you some time!
