To Verb or Not To Verb

What are people's thoughts on using reverb when mic'ing a straight play? I usually don't use any on corporate gigs, but am rethinking my opinion on non-musicals. I'm talking a nice room or plate as opposed to a cathedral with an RT60 of three months.

Thoughts?

You running wireless mics on a straight play? Putting verb on boundary mics seems to be a bit counter productive.

if it is justified by the situation then sure, if the room makes the voice sound really flat then use a tiny bit, otherwise the room will provide all the reverb you need

Only if the added reverberance matches the surroundings of scene in the play. Maybe yes, if the scene is in a large hall or church. No if the scene is in a home, outdoors, or other intimate setting.

Most theaters already have enough reverberance without adding any. I would be hestitant to add any unless the room is unusually dead.
