Zenon on full

Anyone know if the SGM Flasher 1.5 strobe is ok to use on full no strobe for any given period of time. It's a Zenon strobe. It does have a dim channel and a strobe channel and does give the strobe range from strobe to full on but there is nothing in the manual advising not to keep it on. I want to use it in a scene as the primary light then have it strobe at a part. I don't know if Zenon's can handle that or not.

Many units of this type will thermal out when they need to have a rest. If you want to use the strobe over and over again its best not to run at full for extended periods. You can but it may not fire that next cue.

I would recommend finding another way to get this look. If you're just interested in the color of the strobe, you can gel a light that is designed to be left on.

I was just looking at being able to use one fixture on one location for two applications. I suspected these answers which I why I thought of asking. Will be taking another route. Thanks for the info. SGM never replied.
