Hi, im new in this forum. We just bought the mixer mentioned above. We have some idea of how it all works but i am not sure about the groups the mixer has or what they are for? I 've search alot of pages about it but no luck. Hope anyone can help?Many thanksDavid
 
The way subgroups are utilized can vary depending on what application you are using the console in. Essentially they are ways to organize your mix, in terms of level control as well as processing and outputs. Check out the (rather tiny) section on subgroups here, and if you have any specific questions feel free to ask.

Subgroups are a type of "buss" that you assign one or more channels to. On analog consoles, they route to either their own independent output or the main output(s). On a digital mixer, they either don't exist or there's some workaround in place (grouping channel faders, etc.).
