Again, there are lots of purple gels, you just need to choose one that works for your situation. Take a look at them, check out other gel manufacturers, and find one that works. The reason I kind of like having 4 major manufacturers of gel is the chances of finding something that works for my situation is fairly high. Check them out, go to Bill and look at swatchbooks there (some dealers even have "designer" swatches that are like 6"x6" handy, not sure if Bill has one he would let you try, but it never hurts to ask), check out the options, and choose the best one. This might be use LEDs, or it might be pick a gel that isnt "perfect" but will work. I personally think that you might need to choose a lighter color and double it up to get the look you want. Dont worry tho, you will find a solution that works for the client.
