Mixers/Consoles Beheringer SX3282 Solo light Malfunction??

Hey all, just a general question. Has anyone ever had a problem with the Behringer SX3282 Powered Mixer and the SOLO light "sticking" on, even when that channel is not in use (meaning nothing running into it through the input.) we have noticed that on one of our previous SX3282's that we had, had the old one shipped in cause it was still under warranty, had a replacement shipped out and "ghosted" all of the original settings off the old board to the new one, and what do you know, the replacement (our current board) still does it although the new one before it stayed lit, now it flicks on and off on its own, and whats more intresting is it does it on certain channels too. Wondering if this is an internal programming issue or if its just a manufactuer defect during transit or even if the problem is on iur end.

First Board would "SOLO up" on channels 13, 17, and 24 while New (Replacement) Board would show up on channels 13 and 17 (yes the same channels which we dont quite get but its still rather funny.)

We're fine living with it, bt it gives me a laugh sometimes to think that the board "is free thinking" lol XD

So just throwing this out there to ee if anyone has had any experience with this particular "issue" and any solutions, comments, etc. Thanks everyone

I have to ask, what does Behringer support have to say, is there anything in the knowledge base similar?

I would like to introduce myself. I am Dennie Edwards, a Product Specialist for BEHRINGER. I am located in Louisiana and focus on the 12 Southeastern States.

This problem sounds more like a hardware issue than a software / logic issue.

I think the best thing to do is to contact our CARE (service and tech support) departments in our Las Vegas location.

You can email them at [email protected].

You can also PM me anytime with any questions or more information about this issue. I hope I can help more.

The "Clip" and "-20" LEDs directly above the "Solo/PFL" LED are signal strength related, however I believe the channel Solo/PFL lights simply indicate if that channel is currently in Solo/PFL mode and thus should be independent of whether the channel is in use or the related signal level.

Have you tried operating the related Solo/PFL buttons a few times to make sure they work properly or tried to ascertain if it may be making intermittent contact? Might you have adjacent channels that have flashing LEDs where you might be seeing some 'bleed' from those?

Thank you to Dennie and to Brad for your responses. Yes I realize this is really late, (I haven't been able to check in till last night as I've been preoccupied with other things, school, life, etc.) But I do appreciate the responses.

To Brad: The lights so far as of a few weeks ago actually aren't dong the "odd behavior" too much anymore, we suspect it was a bad fault in a grounding connection between a junction box signal to the board or just "memory bleed" from having the board powered on and off so much within a period of time that the mixers internal "brain" was suffering a logic loop between cycles.

To Dennie: I very much appreciate having someone from the manufacturer on board with CB as well, and I have bookmarked that email address. and I will possibly send you a contact request as well.

Thank you both and to JohnD for your responses!:)
