Hazer Purchase

http://www.productionadvantageonline.com/Hazers/CLF 2460.aspxI'm looking to purchase a hazer and I'm looking at the Ultratec Radiance and the Unique2 due to price point. I know the air hang time isn't as much as compared to a DF50 but what else do I need to know? Which one would you purchase?

I've never used the Unique but I've been fairly happy with my Radiance. Are you filling riders?

No riders...Its for a church sanctuary and a youth room.

We've got the Unique at my church and it's performed fairly well, low maintenance. In the youth room (60'x40') it works great, in the sanctuary (150'x90'), it needs some help. I haven't used any hazer model besides the Unique, but as I understand it, the non-oil-based haze just doesn't disperse or hang like the oil-based does.

One of my only complaints about the Unique is the auto-purge cycle. As soon as you take the pump channel to zero, it purges and releases a large cloud of haze. This is not ideal if you need to stop the haze mid-show. I'm not sure if other hazers have this same characteristic or not. I've taken to the practice of keeping the pump at at least 5% until the end of the show. Seems a reasonable work-around, though I'd prefer not to have to do it at all.

The Radiance is a great unit. I had a customer that plays in a band every weekend buy one from me in November of 2008. He called this past Monday to order his first replacement jug of fluid.
