Hi, I found these forums searching for some dmx512 info and decided to register.
I currently run the video / lighting department at my church (with a ton of old equipment). I also like to do video stuff for fun.
Right now I'm trying to convert the lighting in the building to something that actually works. The building was using an X10 system to control all the house lights, but it never worked correctly and a board just burnt out so it is now dead.
What I'm trying to do is convert it all to use DMX512. So I'm searching a ton of places for info on how that works (never used it before myself). If anybody here is knowledgeable and willing to share some info, that would be great.
But I'm here to stay as well, always looking for forums like this to share and get info.
