Design Lighting a cyc in Vectorworks

I am trying to light a cyc in vectorworks and it is not rendering any ideas? do I need to put focus points on/near it. this is for a rendering project and really want it to look somewhat nice

FP on the cyc line at the right height ought do it for you. Alternatively, just make the wall the color you want the cyc to be?

That is what i thought but everything i try to insert it shows up as just black. I have no clue what I am doing wrong. I know it is probobly something simple. but yeah the wall is rendering black and so is the cyc. any ideas?

Do u have a version number of VW and what your setup is? I can try and replicate the issue.

thanks it is 2010 but I figured it out I had a texture assigned to it fixed the class and it working now thank you for your help it made me think a little bit!
