A circular mounted in adjustable tubes. It is used to cut plywood, or other sheet goods, on a vertical stand by a single person. It can set to make vertical and horizontal cuts.
One drawback of the tool is that to make a rip cut along the sheetgood's 8' dimension requires a minimum of 17' (8' in-feed, 1' saw, 8' out-feed) of linear wall space. A cross-cut requires a minimum of ~13'. A Track Saw (or circular saw and straight-edge guide) may be more practical in small spaces.
