    Hello Control Booth,

The show I'm on is in need of an old style piano board. DC resistance plate dimmers, hopefully in a road style configuration. Or even old autotranformers (multiple channel!). The show shoots the 6th of December in NY.

    We have money. And Teamsters.

I know that Hollywood Lights in Portland Oregon has an old road cased piano board type dimmer sitting in their show room. I think it only has one handle though. Check them out at www.hollywoodlighting.biz

Call the theatrical shops in the NYC area

    - PRG, they were once 4th Phase, who was once Production Arts and may have old stuff in a corner. Darren Deverna is at PRG and comes from the 4 Star family

    - Altman Rentals, Tony Sklarew if he hasn't retired. Or Randy

    - 4 Wall (not likely, as 4 Star went under before 4 Wall came to NY, but maybe Al Ridella or one of the Cannons knows somebody, who knows somebody

    - Joe DiNardo at the ETC NYC office, who knows everybody in the business in NY

    - Lights Up in W Hempstead, ask for Frank Danko and find out of Glen (Prior owner when they were GSD) purchased anything like this from the 4 Star auction. Lights Up has a big shop with crap tucked away.

    - BML in NJ, who seemingly doesn't throw things away, but might have when they moved out of Raritan.

    - See Factor in Long Island City

    - Goddard Designs in Brooklyn, Rosemary might know somebody who knows somebody.

    - Litetrol Service in Long Island, Steve Short might have seen one somewhere and I doubt he has one in his shop (never seen one, they take up space and his shop is stuffed with old stuff).

    - Theatrical Services and Supply on Long Island. Bob B. has been around forever.

    Start at LiteTrol:

HUGE autotransformers that were part of a motorized house light system.

Every kind of SCR dimmer module ever made, or so it seems. I know Steve didn't want my junk Strand 600's, he had plenty.

A Colortran Channel Track (or 2 or 3), the big desk model.

    LMI touring racks

    My old Strand Micro-Q

    TTI stuff everywhere.

TONS of Colortran stuff, D192 racks, Patchmans, Prestiges, etc... I think C-Tran shipped stuff to Hicksville instead of Portland when NSI brought them out.

Monitors for days. Need a color monitor for a MicroVision FX ?. They have them - plural.

A wall of manufacturers literature bindings and operating manuals . Maybe 25 running feet of shelves, 7 ft high.

It's not your simple trip down memory lane. More like an acid trip down memory lane.... (just kidding SS)
