Conventional Fixtures Source Four Lamp Housing Not Working

I recently came across two Source Four Jr's in our "dead" light stash. The lenses and reflectors are fine, but they were missing the lamp burner assemblies. I took a working lamp housing and put it in each of the lights, but the lamp did not turn on. Something tells me this may be a grounding issue, but I'm not sure. Any insight? Thanks in advance.

I've had trouble with the insulator corroding in older S4's. Replacing it did the trick in my case, ETC makes a kit to replace the insulator assembly for the pre-lamp clip ones, called a Retrofit Baffle kit or something similar. Not sure if the Jr would be the same or not though.

Check the connector for loose terminals and inspect the socket for signs of arcing. Those are really the two most likely problems other than the lamp itself being bad. There would be no way for the body of the fixture to cause the lamp cap to not work, if that's what you're after. It doesn't know or care if it's attached to an instrument or not.
