Altman GC Heat Dissipation

So my gels are melting/smoking, and it's hour two of tech rehearsal. Right now we've got the safety screens, silk and a few fairly saturated GAM colors in there. Any suggestions on how to deal with that?

What is the instrument that these gels are in? Unfortunately "Altman" doesn't tell us much. If you are unsure, post a pic!

GC=ground cyc? Altman Lighting: GroundCyc Cycloramas ?

Those fixtures are particularly hard on color, especially if using other than 500W lamps. Beyond using LEE HT filters, not much one can do, short of custom building color extender to allow the use of heat shield.
