Batten clamps

ive been trying to find batten clamps for 1 inch OD steel pipe and 3/4 inch OD pipe. I need to get chain safely suspended from the pipe. Anyone have any sources.

Do you mean like a two piece clam shell type of clamp?

See if this company doesn't have what you need. http://www.pipesupports.com/sites/default/files/.u3/PC3.pdf The smallest one is for 1/2" schd 40 pipe or rigid conduit with an OD of .840".

Altman discontinued their small aluminum clamp for these pipe sizes - there was in past days other clamp brands in this size used before the Altman, but iron and no better persay.. This no doubt related to a recent show where they were constantly breaking because stage hands were using the mounts for climbing a tower by way of the lighting clamp. Show was burning thru even my personal stock of them
. A I-Beam mailliable clamp will replace them but not best practice if used horizontal. Some suppliers still sell the micro clamp, and some even sell a plastic insert camping plastic clamp which will do the size of pipe. Best option.
