Chauvet par64 strobe

Anyone have issues for the par64 in strobe mode, the strobe isnt consistent, it strobes and has slight pauses here and there?

the speed slider is all the way up, other sliders dont change anything. I gotta feeling its the controller or cabling but I tried it with amdj tri pars and it was fine.
