It depends on what's on the other side of the roof. An extension lead (particularly the heavy duty ones) is properly rated flexible cordage. It's not suitable for an installed run because of a number of factors, chief of which is that to carry the rated current it needs to be air cooled and in a cavity it won't be. Derating factors also apply for the multiple cables per AS 3008.1.1.patches that are extension leads from bunnings coming out of a hole in the roof.
