short throw followspot

I nedded a follow spot for a similar throw and I bought a S4, 15 deg to 30 deg zoom. I added a balance yoke, an iris, an american DJ stand and bolted a handle to the safety chain boss at the rear. I also added a 1000W slide dimmer from home depot for control. Using the HPL575 lamp this unit out performs the Altman comet and the 1000Q (FEL0 for brightness and control in side by side testing in three venues. I have used it for 40 foot to 75 foot throws. My total cost (ex demo unit) is under $500 Cdn although the normal price is around $800 cdn. I can change the light from a spot to a flood uding the iris (3 foot to 45 foot diameter at 75 foot).
