RGB Color Mixing

So I'm about to try some RBG color mixing using Altman R40s on the bottom, and 3-section ETC Multi-Pars at the top of my cyc. What gels are best for RGB mixing?
Should I try it with Rosco's basic 124 Red Cyc Silk, 125 Blue Cyc Silk, and 126 Green Cyc Silk?
Or maybe 120 Red Diffusion, 121 Blue Diffusion, and 122 Green Diffusion? Or something else entirely?
Thanks

It would depend on the spread you were going for as well as the position of the units in relation to your cyc, but those gels would be my recommendation for RGB color mixing.

You could also play with just the plain version of each of those colors with diffusion added as well. That would give you more options on how the light is diffused across your cyc.

Given enough distance from fixture to cyc, the diffusion or silk may not be required. You'll get more intensity from R27/R80/R91 without frost. Alternatively, R26/R68/R90 is a good combination with weaker fixtures.
