Does anybody know of a gobo projector sub $75? I can't seem to find any decent ones.

Pretty much any used Altman leko. They aren't ETC S4s, but they'rer rock solid and used ones can be had cheap. A cleaning, focus and coat of new paint do wonders for an old fixture.

    Borrow from somebody.
You might find an old Altman in storage at a community or university theater.

Or in my storage shed. Are you implying that all old Altman's should be condemned to recycling? Why? A tiny local playhouse has a ton of them in use in every show. It's what they can afford.

How much output do you need? How large of an image? Are you looking to keep with a specific size template? There are some decent MR-16 fixtures around that price.

Keep an eye out on eBay for an Altman Micro Ellipse. I believe Times Square has a similar model. I've seen each priced at around $20-50. They're 75w MR-16 and pretty decent for what they are.
