Fire and Water

Hello, I need a way to project fire and water onto the backdrop. I have seen commercial units but they are out of my budget, anyone know how they work or any other way to do it?

Few (not free but cheap) options:

• Projection - A few video loops, a laptop & a projector
• Multiple lights with Gobos on different angles with different gels
• Martin Mania DC12
• Colour Changers & Gobos

All these are cheap, the DC12 won't cost you much if a hire company has one & will probably be the most effective.
Projection will be your cheapest
